Design of a 2,400-ft2 single-story conditioned retail space for a PGA retail store along with a separate approximate 1,200-ft2 retail space. MEP system included packaged rooftop units.
This project required a large amount of mechanical coordination because one of the architectural features of the building included a high roof in one area and a low roof in another area. We used a combination of side discharge and downflow rooftop units to coordinate with the structure of the space. The project had some challenges associated with placing a small serving kitchenette on an island in the middle of the retail space. We worked with the architect to make the kitchenette a clean-looking feature of the space.
