Richardson or Dallas, Texas – 2021
36,168-ft2 finish-out of existing shell space on the top floor of a mid-rise building into office space for McCarthy Construction. MEP systems included vertical self-contained units with terminal boxes.
This project had the challenge of taking another engineer’s work on the shell building and finishing it out to the needs of the owner. We were able to work with the landlord, the tenant, and the architect to design a good-looking contemporary open office look with a mixture of open structures and private offices and conference rooms. In order to achieve this, we had to use the shell building engineer’s design in some places and modify it in others so that the beauty, comfort, and function of the space could take precedence over the ease of design or the routing of ductwork.
