Project: Cambridge School of Dallas

Dallas  2019 – Present

This project encompassed an MEP design of a new ground-up 80,000-ft2 multi-level private school. Areas of interest included MEP design of an art suite as a storm shelter meeting ICC 500. The MEP systems included VRF units, packaged rooftop units, and heat recovery DOAS units.

Project Challenges to Overcome in Our Design

This project included a beautiful architectural design with a butterfly roof leaving very little room for equipment on the roof of the classroom wing.  The project also included an open-concept library on the second floor as a showcase centerpiece of the campus.  The library had to be located over a science lab for the library concept to work as a centerpiece.  Our team worked with the architect to design in pockets of hidden flat roof areas to conceal the mechanical systems.
